Visitors to the museum can see master watchmakers in the workshop, whose knowhow is inscribed on the List of Immaterial Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Musée international d'horlogerie carries out conservation-restoration projects for the museum's collections and for certain private timepieces chosen according to very precise criteria.

These different projects are governed by a very strict restoration ethic, based in particular on the result of symposia, discussions with other restorers, experience of the possibilities of operating a piece without altering its appearance or of keeping it without the idea of operation.
